NONO - Ugandan Duo in Madrid

Conscious Youth brought NONO a Ugandan duo who promote Ugandan folk music to Madrid in order to promote their music, their new instrument - the Janzi - and to put on a few live shows.
Nono, which loosely translate as music ofand our home in Luganda, are a folk duo from Uganda. The original line up is Abraham Sekasi and Hakeem Kiwanuka. They want to bring back Ugandan folk music to the masses in Uganda. You can follow their music on youtube at Nono Music Uganda and on this link -
For the recent European dates, Abraham was joined by Janzi band member, James Ssewakiryanga. We recorded Abraham and James in live session, studio session and outdoors in Madrid. Keep an eye out for those tracks and videos coming soon.
