Thank you to everyone who came out to support us at the weekend!

Friday night kicked off at El Rincon del Arte Nuevo. Having landed in Madrid at 20h30, Geneva's premiere Irish band, The Emigrants, headed straight into the city centre for the eleven o'clock gig on C/ Segovia. After unpacking bags, hoofing some Mexican down & listening to a mariachi whilst wearing sombreros, the lads were ready for pints and tunes.

Tucked away in a cosy corner of El Rincon del Arte Nuevo the nine musicians played a semi-acoustic set in a session style atmosphere that felt much more like an Irish country pub than a La Latina venue. The mix of Irish folk songs, trad tunes, US country and bluegrass tones went down a storm. The house artist due to play afterthe night shift after The Emigrants commented that it was the best thing he'd ever seen at El Rincon del Arte Nuevo. Not bad for a last minute replacement gig after the original venur fell through at the last minute.

Saturday's venue was The Village Tap Room, a fairly new pub and restaurant with 24 craft beers on tap - the perfect place to enjoy a few tunes. With a good turn out, The Emigrants gave a great gig which was very well received. There was a short performance given by Accord de Voix, a folk duo.

The atmosphere was brilliant. It was great to see so many familiar faces and even better to see so many new faces, friends of friends and people who'd come down out of curiosity after seeing posts on Facebook. Huge thanks to you all, your presence was greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, neo-soul/rnb band, WET, were unable to perform due to illness. They will, however, be back in action on Sunday 12th May at The Village Tap Room alongside The Craic Dealers.
